My plans for thanks giving is to help prepare food for my family. Also I had plans with a friend in the morning. But I am thankful for many things. Yesterday I was in a car accident and I remember seeing everything happen in slow motion. I used to not believe that your life toime memories will flash before your eyes. But when this happened my life flashed before my eyes. I thought I was going to die but I'm fine. No injuries no nothing. I mostly want to thank god for watching over me yesterday.

Tuesday!
To me the quote that john f Kennedy said meant that when we say something it should come from the bottom of our hearts. It shouldn't be just words. And also to not say something that we don't mean.ni agree with this quote because I want people to tell me the truth and also tell me things because they want to say it.

Friday!!!
Part I:
-soup kitchens
-canned food drive
-make a dream foundation
-tutoring
This would benefit our communities by feeding homeless and people who don't really have much money. It can also give a child who's parents can't afford anything a gift they wish for. And tutoring helps kids understand a subject better.
Part II:
A problem that occurs frequently in my community is that there is a lot of gang violence. That is an ongoing problem that seems to never change. It affects people because family and friends are either dying or getting hurt by these gang violence. There is also a lot of careless drivers. There have also been a lot of drug dealers around my area which is bad also.

11/18/13
The bill that I chose was the "Rebuild America Act" S.4
Senator Harry Reid sponsors this act.
The purpose of this bill is to create jobs and to support businesses. It also wants to modernize, renovate and repair elementary and secondary school to improve their educational outcomes. They also want to update and enhance the the U.S. Network of rails, dams, and ports.
People who don't have jobs will be for this bill because we all need jobs at this point.
People that will oppose this bill are the people that have a well paying job because if we start putting more people to work then they will be getting less hours and will be getting paid less.
Committees that are hearing this bill are the senate committee on commerce, science and transportation.
The chairperson of the committee is Jay Rockefeller.
This bill will impact our community by giving everyone more jobs. It will also impact all go us in a bad way because if we all have jobs already then we might get less hours and that means less money.

Bill
In order for a bill to become a law it must first go to the senate , then It goes to the House of Representatives and then the last person it goes to is the president. The president can also veto a bill that would then go back to the house to decide if this is something they would like to be passed as a law.
It is important for people to know this process because if they want to make a law they need to know the steps to make a law. Everyone has opinions so if they don't like something they can write it down and make it into a bill then send it off to congress to decide if they'd like to make it a law.

3day weekend
I actually enjoyed my 3-day weekend. Most of the time I was with family. I worked both Saturday and Sunday at 5am but it was ok because I got out at 1:30 and was able to go out and have fun. The most fun thing I did was go to my nephews baptisms on Saturday where there was a live mariachi playing.
My goals for the end of this quarter is to bring up my English grade. I also plan on not missing school and coming until the ends of winter break.

Voting
Measure w is more interesting to me because as I drive to school everyday I see many people standing outside holding say yes to measure W. I think I would say yes because these school need to be less clouded and I think they should open another school if the classes are overcrowded. In order for this bill to pass 2/3 of people need to vote yes to it. The cost is 23,000,000 I think.
