Current event

A former u.s. Congressman, Melvin Jay Reynolds, was arrested in Zimbabwe of or possession of pornography. This is one of several charges against Reynolds. Newspaper reports say that Reynolds allegedly took models and other women to his hotel room where he took photos and videos. He has been charged in the past for having child pornography. In Zimbabwe it is said to be illegal to posses any sexual material.

This is a major issue for the world, especially the U.S., because of many reasons. This shows that our representatives have criminal backgrounds. This is bad because they can be capable of anything. Also many people around the world might see the US as a poor nation because we have perverts running our nation. 

This affects my community in many ways. First of all this is scary because he has a really bad background. Knowing Reynold is a part of our congress kind of scares me. Also this might affect our family from traveling to other places because people might want to check our bags of possessions of things. This will have an impact on traveling I believe. Hopefully Reynolds gets fired for good or he stays in jail for a really long time.

Cogswell presentation

Cogswell focuses on artists and animation work. Today we had a presentation about the school and what I found interesting was about the 10 minute animation movie. Also how the classes are very small. They get one on one help from the teacher. I don't want to go because I am not so interested. I am more into being a makeup artist. 

  

IMF statement

The statement given by the IMF states that their organization is trying to help poverty throughout the world. They try to build a cheap economic place for people that cannot afford things.

Good thing about IMF selling in Jamaica is that is cheaper to buy than Jamaicas naturally grown products and also there's no import fees. 

State of the union 2014

1. It's a meeting between the president and members of the congress. It's annual. Talk about the progress of the nation and economics, problems, new laws.

2. So that he can give everyone an idea of what's happening in the government.
